50 Bridge Builders. 50 Years of Habitat.

Will You Be One?

This year, Habitat for Humanity celebrates 50 years of building homes, communities, and hope. To honor that milestone, Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity is inviting 50 people to become Bridge Builders — monthly donors who bridge the gap between a family’s dream and the moment they open their own front door.

We need 50. We’re counting on you.

What is a Bridge Builder?

What Does It Mean to Be a Bridge Builder?

A Bridge Builder is a monthly donor — someone whose consistent, recurring gift makes it possible for Lakes Area Habitat to plan ahead, serve more families, and build more homes right here in our community.

One-time gifts are wonderful. But monthly giving is transformative. It means we can count on the resources we need month after month, year after year — without interruption.

When you become a Bridge Builder, you’re not just making a donation. You’re making a commitment to our neighbors. And that changes everything.

How It Works

Becoming a Bridge Builder Is Simple

Choose Your Gift. Pick a monthly amount that feels right for you — every level matters.

  1. Set It and Forget It. Your gift processes automatically each month. No stamps, no reminders, no hassle.
  2. Watch the Impact. You’ll receive regular updates showing exactly what your giving is making possible — and you’ll see your name on our Bridge Builder wall.

Questions? We Have Answers.

Yes, at any time. Just contact us at lori.rubin@lahfh.org or 218-828-8517 and we’ll make the adjustment.

Can I cancel my monthly gift?

Yes. You’re never locked in. We hope you’ll stay once you see the impact, but we understand life changes.

Yes. Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You’ll receive a receipt for your records.

What if I already donate to Habitat?
