Whether you’re an individual, a family, or a corporate sponsor, your gifts fund programs that make homeownership possible
for future homebuyers who simply can’t afford to buy homes without compromising education, healthcare, food, and other family essentials.
Your donation is not given to a person. In fact, nothing is handed to a Lakes Area Habitat future homebuyer other than the tools and resources to be successful. This is why no gift is too small. Even $5 every month makes a difference. With your contributions, we put the tools in families’ hands to be successful homeowners.
Gift-In-Kind Donations
Professional services: If you are a licensed contractor, you could make a big difference for our partner families by volunteering your services! We need electrical, plumbing, earthwork, sewer and water installation, concrete, and HVAC services regular volunteers are unable to perform!
Building Supplies: Help reduce the cost of building by donating building supplies and/or material such as lumber, drywall, nails, screws, shingles, windows, and doors, just to name a few. You can also donate items for the home such as new counter tops, flooring, sinks, etc. Every item donated helps another partner family get steps closer to becoming a homeowner!
Workplace Giving and Matching Gifts
If you love volunteering and supporting Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity, this is an easy way for your contribution to go further! Employee matching is the simple, easy way to double your impact! The majority of businesses in the United States have programs set up to match volunteer time or donations to eligible non-profit organizations.
Most businesses will let you match donations or volunteer time that you logged within the past year. Each company has a different policy. Cars for Homes
Donate a vehicle to Cars for Homes, Lakes Area Habitat’s car donation program, to help support local families. We accept cars, trucks, RVs, vans, SUVs, boats, and motorcycles, whether running or not. There’s very little paperwork—just a few clicks online or a phone call.
Leaving a Legacy
A safe, affordable home can be the start of a more stable, healthy, and successful life for families in Crow Wing, Cass, Hubbard, and Wadena counties.
