Meet Trey & Laura.
A Fresh Start for Trey & Laura
Trey & Laura are proud parents to two young boys—Nash, age 2, and Rook, just 6 months old. As their family has grown, so has their need for space and stability. Until now, the four of them have been living in a small 750-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment located on the first floor of Laura’s parents’ home. While they are grateful for the shelter and support, the space has become increasingly cramped, and they have longed for a home to call their own. With the rising cost of housing, finding an affordable option has felt out of reach—until they discovered Habitat for Humanity.
For Trey & Laura, being accepted into the Habitat program marks the beginning of a new and hopeful chapter. The opportunity to build and own their own home brings a deep sense of pride and accomplishment. It’s more than just a house—it’s a place where their boys can grow, play, and make memories. It’s a space filled with love, joy, and independence. “This is a monumental accomplishment in our story,” Laura shared. “We can now look forward to each day with peace of mind, knowing we have a safe, stable place for our family.”
Their journey with Habitat has been one filled with support, kindness, and encouragement. “The amount of help we have received is incredible,” Laura said. Inspired by their faith, they are reminded of the words from Psalm 37:4— “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” With this new foundation under them—both physically and emotionally—Laura and Trey are excited to build not just a home, but a future full of promise for their children.
